Vision
At Monation's Healing Intention Foundation, our vision is to create a world where healing through music and community is accessible to everyone, particularly those facing mobility challenges. We envision a society where individuals with disabilities, especially within the music and creative community, have equitable access to therapeutic environments that foster personal growth, healing, and social connection. Our goal is to establish a model of accessible music therapy that transcends traditional barriers, promoting a life enriched by sound, community, and personal wellbeing.
Mission
- Provide Access: Ensure that all our events, workshops, and community gatherings are held in fully accessible venues with transportation options available for attendees with mobility impairments.
- Support Healing through Music: Utilize music, sound healing, and drumming therapy as core practices to facilitate emotional, psychological, and physical healing for individuals with mobility limitations. We aim to create an environment where music serves not only as therapy but also as a bridge to connect individuals in shared experiences of healing.
- Foster Community: Build and nurture a community where empathy, understanding, and mutual support are the foundation. Here, individuals can find not just personal healing but also communal strength, surrounded by peers who share similar journeys.
- Promote Awareness and Advocacy: Increase public awareness about the challenges faced by those with mobility impairments and advocate for better access to therapeutic arts. We aim to change perceptions, promote inclusivity, and advocate for more resources directed towards accessible music therapy.
- Empower Creatives: Specifically target musicians and creative minds who might feel marginalized due to their disabilities. By providing them a platform to express themselves and heal through their art, we empower them to live fulfilling lives where their creativity is not limited by their physical conditions.
